When we decided that this would be our ‘History’ issue, I wanted to be conscious about not getting carried away with all the ‘where are they now?’ nostalgia. The obvious choice isn’t something Color has been known for, but for me, North was just one aspect of our past that couldn’t be avoided. This video changed how I thought about myself as a skateboarder, and thinking back on it now, the high caliber of its contents and dedication to quality certainly had an effect on my decision to start this magazine and the direction it would take.
