JFA are among the founders of “skate-rock”. By redefining the soundtrack of skateboarding while the rolling board was living its worst blackout years in the beginning of the 1980s, JFA contributed actively to the reestablishment of skateboarding as a countercultural movement with a do-it-yourself ethic that fit in perfectly with the burgeoning punk underground.
