Jamcouver is competitive skateboarding at its most creative. With a huge cash purse, a one-of-a-kind street course and many of Canada’s top amateur and professional skaters, Jamcouver is sure to show the rest of the world why Canada is a world-class skateboarding destination. In this, it’s first year, Jamcouver comes as a part of the eclectic mix of art, music, film and comedy that is Olio Festival, so you can expect this competition to produce some of the most creative and inspiring skateboarding this side of the 49th parallel. It’s been awhile since an event of this magnitude has landed in this country, but it is clear from the various interviews we’ve done leading up to this event, that everyone is ready for the rebirth of the Canadian skateboard extravaganza. In this latest interview with Tony Ferguson, the skateboard icon talks about team vibes, classic Vancouver spots and memories of the last great Canadian competition.
