“There is no greater glory than doing your job as well as you possibly can.” I’m paraphrasing but that’s the gist of the saying. Mr. Brook enjoys doing his job. “There is no greater glory than doing your job as well as you possibly can.” I’m paraphrasing but that’s the gist of the saying. Mr. Brook enjoys doing his job. In fact, I don’t know if he would be able to function if he wasn’t driving somewhere with a van of talented creeps to skate something that they’ve only heard about. Joe has a wanderlust similar to an old viking that scours the oceans only coming home to restock and drop off his findings. Doing what he does, if you don’t love it you don’t last long. As photo editor for SLAP Magazine for many years Joe had to make due with few resources instead he had to rely on his innate ingenuity and creativity. The content in the pages of SLAP reflected his devotion to film and his knowledge of processing and printing techniques. In recognition of that and his longstanding relationship with the company, éS Footwear released a guest shoe for him and published a limited edition book and ‘zine. Made with his touches, it is a fine shoe that lives up to the high standards of he and éS.
