During the recent Maloof Cup weekend in NYC, Etnies, Color Magazine, PBR, and KCDC skateshop sponsored a group art show curated by Alexis Gross.
From Los Angeles to Vancouver, artwork and photos were flown in for a show who’s theme was about “being high/feeling good”. Cross stitched joints, paintings of technicolored demons, and numerous color photos and prints, cloaked the walls with tri-coastal good feelings. Overall, I felt the show successfully captured youthful assurance and lightheartedness, loudly reflecting the natural relationship between Alexis’ own work with those of the contributing artists’.
