Artists are influenced by everyday things, from daily habits to the routine of the mailman on his stroll. For illustrators and painters sometimes they can creep into their work in subtle and subconscious ways. When two artists live together a certain amount of cross-contamination might happen and would be natural considering the close confines of modern habitats and apartment layout. For Mel Kadel and Travis Millard their studio and living space are the close quarters of an old cabin in the hills of Los Angeles. Surprisingly there is next to no noticeable influence…
