Rue De MONTRéAL
Life
Last week I headed east to Toronto and thought, "What the heck, lets keep going". So after a couple great days in the big smoke, I was in Montreal. It's hard to believe that in this day and age anyone can completely lose touch with one and other, but such is the case for me (without facebook) and my good ol' pal Mike Chui (without a cellphone). In a most obscure part of town, on my way to meet Mike Giles at Furni, I ran into him on the very stoop to the building I was going to. We made plans to meet later to catch the Habs kick ass against Philly in game 4 then he showed me his home photo studio where hung was the above shot of Gabriel Dubois and Lee Matasi.

MTL: great for it's skate spots.

And its graffitti. (Shot on route to Tiger Dist.)

One of the most pleasurable aspects of visiting Montreal is their hospitality. There's nothing like a good sense of home so when I'm not crashing with friends, the Opus Hotel is the go-to. This Vancouver/Montreal hotel is affordable luxury at its best.

With free internet, the stretched-hummer of work spaces makes it easy to get messy (just like my office at home).

Stay posted for photos and commentary from my visit with Mike Giles at Furni Creations.
