WAITING FOR THE WAY
Print / Life
I feel pretty damn lucky to say yesterday wasn't the first time I've had the chance to sit down with Danny Way for an interview. However, it was in fact the first time I'd ever interviewed the man/ the legend. It was probably 5 years ago now, but for some intergalactic reason (let's just call it EA), Danny and Gonz (another man I could never muster up the courage to interview) were both in town and both at Antisocial. My friend Jay and Bob Kronbauer were in prime form after drinking a few and offered a Tattered Ten. The unreleased transcription and original tape is probably still in my desk somewhere.
Anyway, he had a lot of interesting, inspirational stuff to say and it got me that much more excited to see this documentary tonight at 8pm in Vancouver. Admission is FREE, but get there early as space is limited and seats will fill up fast. D. Way will be in attendance to make this occasion even more memorable. Make sure to stick around after the film for a chance to get on the FREE bus that is headed for the official after party (19+) at the Biltmore Cabaret where Josh Kalis will be doing a guest DJ set!
Immediately following Saturday's screening of Waiting for Lightning, head out to the sidewalk in front of Granville 7 Theatre and wait for the bus to swing by and pick everyone up for an official after party (19+) over at The Biltmore Cabaret (2755 Prince Edward). Cheap beer hot babes at Glory Days!
