HIGHER THAN HYSTAD

Print / Skate

You might be taller than Morgan Hystad, but I bet he's HIGHERRRRRR... (in more ways than one).

You can see Mojo's pops in the recent Color Magazine 9.6 where unshamefully, I published one of my own photographs—pretty much a first for me.

Morgan's got pop and style for days that completely embodied our timeless theme in 9.6. Another thing I really like about this photo is the simplicity of the spot; it's just a bump in a parking lot, leading over nothing, which makes it more difficult to blast (with out a target)... for most. Now you can check out the footy from this shot on our Youtube page.

Pie Charts and Bar Graphs - Color visits Pacific Western Brewing

Life

Dani, Jason (of Olio fame) and myself trekked out to Cariboo HQ recently to meet with the boss-men around there regarding such issues as Beer and skateboarding events in Vancouver for 2012.

It looked like we interrupted them in the middle of solving a very important issue. 'Who don it?"

Walking in, you can't help feel as if you've unleashed some secret portal to a place unaffected by time.  As it turns out it's the very brewery that appeared in the original Strange Brew movie, not to be confused with this one. Do you remember the scene where they swim around inside the tanks, drinking? Yup, that's PWB!

BNEETH - THE EYE OF THE TIGER

(left) photographer-choice frame / photographer's rendering (right)

Back in November (2011) I shared some photos from my time spent in NY and Boston and ended my post with a session at Tompkins Square Park. There, I was visited by a hobby photographer there who kindly asked if I minded him snapping off some photos and I promised to share them on here no matter how embarrassing they were.

I was curious how they'd turn out because I could hear he was shooting off sequences. This is what I got back... I particularly like the 'banana hands' overly photoshoped one. It's the only one he sent me where I'm actually doing something, but all the 'eye of the tiger' ones are just as funny.

Recently Bneeth.com published another awkward story of mine from this trip. Check it out HERE.
