DESTROYER GOES KAPUTT

Music

Tomorrow drops the new release from Vancouver based Dan Bejar's band, Destroyer. By the looks of it we're in for another bangin' album.

If you aren't a fan already, then you will be. How can you deny a good slow jam when it's accompanied by videos like this?! Stay tuned for Color Magazine 9.1 dropping in March with a full interview with the artist.

TRADESHOWS

Life
Boston's Next Generation skate shop performs their roll as "seat keepers" for the Viewers Choice awards, earlier this month in LA. Later we went to see Snoop Dogg DJ at a bowling alley.

For those lucky enough to mix work with play, you're well aware that it's tradeshow season. Just as "beachwear" shifted to "street" in the 90s, we experience an other cultural shift for the second decade of the 2000s and it looks like SKATEBOARDING's winning!
Lance Mountain hand paints graphics at Agenda.

But it's not all business. This weekend in Vancouver you can enjoy all the surrounding parties brought by Know Show. And don't be surprised if you see a certain Muska roaming about!

POWDER AND RAILS

Life / Film

What a terrible title... they might as well call it's Powder And Drugs (unless that's the reference they were making, in which case - the titles okay, but I'm no comedian either). This show on VBS is great! I only started watching it in its 3rd Season because I saw Mike Ranquet's name on an episode. My first "freestyle" snowboard was a (Lamar) Ranquet with painted graphic by Mark Gonzales. Ranquet was a skater's snowboarder and I liked that even though at the time I loathed Vert skating.

If you were into the Seattle grunge scene or you're still a skate snob you might find this one interesting.
