A ROLLING PERSPECTIVE WRAPS UP IN TEH PEG.

Art

Dylan and were recently in Winnipeg for a Rolling Perspective. We were lucky enough to stay for the Roger's WAM contest at the forks too. Here's a couple of my favourite photos from Winnipeg, but the after-black audio in this video sums it all up.

Genico... we owe it all to this guy. and local buddy from this video.

i was told caine lambert has small hands, but damn does he have small hands! Here he reps it hard with a sticler on his breast.

one of the guys at The Spot built a troff.

gang violence was not a problem in Winnipeg this night.

click here for more photos from a Rolling Perspective, Winnipeg.

A big thanks goes out to Etnies and Fourstar for their support. Coors Light, Wild Horse Canyon wine and the booze Paul snuck in. Brady, Paul! Brandon at The Spot, Kevin at TUB Genico, Matt, Mark, Colin and the rest of the SK8 family. Next stop: Calgary!

FRENCHFRED IN MONTREAL!

Art

Yep, everybody's favourite frenchman is lurking about in Canada right now until after his show on the 22nd at Off The Hook (MTL). When asked to give us a short bio of himself, here is what the infamous FrenchFred had to say...

"I exclusively use the nickname "frenchfred" for ease reasons, otherwise it's too hard for the americans! Never believe the hype. It doesn't transcribe the fact that I'm a hardcore french activist, trying to spread the greatness of french culture in colonial manners. I'm a citizen of the world, I don't really like the idea of nationalities, nor the weight of national cultures and traditions, which favours the formatting of individuals. One of the most valuable thing skateboarding brought me, was the opportunity and privilege of travelling the world. This made me a fake french man! I'm terribly scared of routine, so I accumulate jobs, so everyday is different. I juggle with videography, filming and editing, photography, but I still manage to find some time to do some weird other things like modeling for WESC, acting for Canadian movies, or doing some back up vocals for the band Coming Soon...!!! yes yes, weird!" —FrenchFred

Color Magazine is Proud to present to you a photo exhibition by Photographer FrenchFred taking place at Off The Hook Gallery, 22nd of August. Click here for more details.

RIP SLAP SKATE RAG, HELLO SLAP MESSAGE BOARD!

Art / Skate

If it's true that a bad cover can be an omen for demise then we might be in trouble. It was announced that SLAP will no longer be avialable in print. I have to say I'm bummed about it, but they always had more of an online pressence for me anyway. Plus the gonz logo. And the chinatown sticker. Fuckit, it doesn't even matter if they print the mag so long as there is angels. It's the og crew and the idea that's important and that's still going on strong. Good luck friends...
