Magenta's S.F. Premiere/Photo Show
Film / Art / SkateSan Francisco, a city recognized by its bridge but known for the copious amounts of skate friendly architecture, has attracted the skate masses for nearly 3 decades now. And the Magenta crew is no stranger to the secrets of the city. After receiving much attention for Hill St. Blues pt. 1, the crew headed back for more! The group spent 3 weeks filming a follow up late last spring and early summer...Ben, John and Isaac had a blast skating with and capturing the Frenchies in all their American glory as they destroyed the city with nothing but 4 wheels and a piece of wood.

The premiere of Hill St. Blues 2 is going down one week from today (Friday, Oct 19, 2012) at the Book and Job Gallery. The film starts at 8, but get there early to check out the photo show that is pairing up with the event. Ben Gore, John Lindsay and Isaac McKay-Randozzi have feature photos that were shot during the making of this film. All photos were said to be shot on film with shitty old cameras and a single disposable point and shoot...I'm sure it'll be worth checking out (you've got until Nov 1, the day the show closes). Anyway, in regards to swag, Hill St. Blues 2 DVDs, Magenta decks, Prize Fighter Wheels and silk-screened posters will all be available at the event. The gallery opens at 6 and runs until 10, so if you are in the area, show your face, mingle, and support the international skate scene.
The team wanted to give a quick thanks to their sponsors Adidas, Theories of Atlantis, The Photo Laboratory (Berkeley) and Prize Fighter Cutlery Urethane for making this show a reality.
Here's the original Hill Street Blues for all your viewing pleasure. Can't wait to see what they've put together for part 2!
