LEDGE 'N DAIRY — Recapitated
Skate
Last Saturday saw the birth of the Ledge 'N Dairy contest format with CONS, Coastal Riders, Olio Festival and Color teaming up on a sick new event at Chuck Bailey Youth Park. We had a ton of fun giving out $1000 in cash, 12 pairs of Converse and 100 ice cream sandwiches courtesy of Coastal Riders. We had three Best Trick obstacles, then an ice cream break, then moved on to the Ledge contest and our "Make a Train" format.

This little skater seriously deserved his free pair of shoes compliments of CONS. Just look at those things...

Andy Anderson took home Coastal Riders "Best Trick" in the steep end of the bowl with a 5-0 around the corner, 180 out!

A couple contenders in the deep end. One-foot blunt // Sal flip

Jordan Repin - Kickflip Fakie for the 'gram [ o ] @hau5ofnoodles

Jorden Murray goes big with a frontside air over the channel

Andy Anderson milks his tricks for all their worth. Here: one of the many landed on his sick old school board

Our most excellent MC Cyrus Thiedeke hands Magnus a hundy for his heroics

DJ Craig Kiltau looked kinda lonely... until the ice cream showed up...

The dairy portion of Ledge 'N Dairy... Chris White from Converse doles out the ice cream sandwiches.

One satisfied little buddy.

Magnus Hanson with a nollie bs bigspin heelflip over the hip...

But Hashbrown put down "The Miracle Whip" (so we put a brown bill in his hand)
After a gruelling Rock Paper Scissors match-up between our Goofy captain (Jorden Murray) and our Regular captain (Magnus Hanson), the direction was picked and then the skaters attacked the ledges one after another. You fall, you're out... which made it even more surprising when guys like Jorden, Magnus and Dustin Locke were sparing nothing, getting techy instead of playing it safe. In the end, 2 smart young lads hung on with frontside boardslides and Jorden Murray was the only wizard who made it to the top 3.

Spectators waiting for the train to arrive...

You fall, you're out...

Down to the wire: Magnus Hanson killed this ledge with a barrage of tricks, but took himself out in the end

They made a train... we made them richer. Dominic Devries, Trevor Greig, Jordan Murray and our Best Overall, Andy Anderson
Big thanks to everyone who came down for some good ol' fun and for donating food to a great cause. See you next year!
