Board Rescue's 2nd Annual Skate Art Show Fundraiser
Art / SkateImproving lives through skateboarding – that’s the mission of Board Rescue. The volunteer-run charity partners with the skate industry to provide decks, trucks, wheels and safety equipment to organizations working with low-income and at-risk kids. They rely on their partners and donations from regular folk to keep doing what they do, and luckily for anyone in Santa Cruz this month, they put on sweet events like this to help: on September 16th, Board Rescue is putting on their second annual Skate Art Show Fundraiser. DJ Ray Stevens II will be spinning, Board Rescue t-shirts will be for sale, and there will be a ton of skate artwork to check out. Throw in a BBQ and raffle prizes (signed decks! watches! more fun stuff!) and how can you go wrong? All the artwork will be up for display at the Santa Cruz Boardroom from September 16th to October 7th, and available for auction on eBay until October 12th. All the proceeds go to Board Rescue.
