Girl and Chocolate are teaming up with (Product) Red to release these two new decks with art by Andy Jenkins. The obtainable goal of zeroing out AIDS in newborns in Africa could have repercussions the world over, not only in AIDS eradication but in how the world responds to similar epidemics. So buy one (or both) of these boards and help a great cause.
Most of us started rolling around on our bums on boards like this one. Now Globe joins the ranks of companies broadening their horizons to get more folks (girls) skateboarding! And they made a snappy little 90s inspired video to show off the many different colours they come in too:

Gotta give it up to a shoe company that's going to promote boards best ridden barefoot!

Nick Zizzo has been added to the Stacks roster of little known yet amazing skaters. We can only hope they are filming for a full length.

Summer goods from the Krooked kamp are on online as well as this video of Gonz being Gonz in Paris. Check with your local shop on when they will be arriving, should be any day now!

A little bit of internet stoke revolving around Zoo York team riders Brandon Westgate and Travis Glover this week. A "short answers" feature with Brandon on the skatenewspot.com blog, and THE ZOO YORK POST returns with a feature on Travis Glover's ATL. it'll help you remind what pushes us through these rainy summer days that are infrequent but have already outstayed their welcome.
Seeing this video of the Medicine Hat Skateboard Association's recent goodwill ambassador trip to the South, wherein they built a house for a needy family in Mexico and spent time talking to less fortunate people in the streets of LA, made me realize how lucky I am to share this country with such amazing people. Individuals like this are truly inspiring and are exactly the types of skateboarders I want the rest of the world to look at as a shining example of those who make up our national skateboard culture. I challenge you to watch this video and not get choked up and inspired to spread joy in your own community. Skate or DIY!
About the MHSA:
"The Medicine Hat Skateboard Association is a group of people who share a passion for skateboarding. Not only do they love to skateboard, but they also desire to use the talents that they have been given to shine a light in some dark places of this world. They have shown that they are committed to achieving the goals they set, regardless of the sacrifice that must be made."
