Hawaiian skate shop In4mation and Matix team up for the In4matix Hawaiian Plantation Collection.
"We are the people, The People of Hawaii!
It has been decades since statehood as the United States Congress finally wrote an apology letter to the people of Hawaii in 1993. During the early 1900’s a large mixture of cultures and races became the first plantation workers imported to Hawaii to work in the hot climate and sugar fields. Similar to America, all ethnic groups brought their culture and religion where it was also learned by the rest of the minority groups. The result was a form of language called Pidgin English.
After generations of hardship the Hawaiians endured the people and the culture have emerged as a singular harmonious culture. The Hawaiian people still endure The Plantation mentality where the meaning of hard work, sharing, having a open mind, and family life is still passed on after generations of our people to look out for one another, respect the elders and locals of the area.
The Matix X In4mation Capitol collection is a tribute to the hard work and adaptation of
the Hawaiian people and its culture."
