Pretty simple really, Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree. Etnies is traveling through Costa Rica with their team on a mission to plant the first trees of the Etnies Rainforest. The Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree program started out as a part of Etnies’ owner and CEO’s vision of reforesting the earth through sales of Etnies’ Jameson 2 Eco shoes, and is on track to plant 35,000 trees.
The 1st Vans partner store in Canada will be opening in May in one of the busiest corners in Montreal, Peel and Sainte-Catherine. In collaboration with the urban establishment Off The Hook this shopping destination will offer the largest selection of Vans in Canada.

Made my way to Portland this weekend and was stoked to find out OFF! was playing on Saturday night, and all my buds wanted to head down!! Our friends' band Mikey & the Mistakes were on the bill as well, with Mean Jeans and Blood Beach, so we were geared up for a dirty sweaty punk show. I grabbed a couple pics while dodging fists, mohawks and falling speakers.... Thanks to Mario for hooking us up at the last minute!

Chris Atwood sent me his newest 'zine, Ships Passing in the Night, about a month ago but it disappeared under the waves of papers on my desk and surfaced earlier today... glad it did! If ya don't know, Chris is the man behind the Mid-90's blog over at Lowcard Mag, and has this to say about Ships...

The Cult of Stacks Exhibition is back from Japan and being loaded directly into a van along with the Stacks skate team, a filmer, Michael Leon and Mark the Navigator. They've taken to the open road up from Los Angeles doing shows in San Francisco, Portland and next up: Vancouver!
Kyle Shura photography from 2002-present is currently exhibiting in Whistler's Conference Centre until the 24th. check it out at the TWSSF!
All prints are one-of-a kind, meaning YOU are the soul owner of the image if you choose to purchase it. Pretty rare these days, but then so are photographers like Shura.

I don't know if I've said this before, but a TON of great stuff coming out of Quebec these days! Seriously... NDG is jamming with their ramp, ULC steady pressing boards and dropping video clips, and now Father & Son Skateboards (formerly Father Skateboards) comes out with a fresh line of graphics for spring/summer! With a newborn, where did they find the time!?
