Chris Atwood sent me his newest 'zine, Ships Passing in the Night, about a month ago but it disappeared under the waves of papers on my desk and surfaced earlier today... glad it did! If ya don't know, Chris is the man behind the Mid-90's blog over at Lowcard Mag, and has this to say about Ships...
"These photographs represent a culmination of 4 or 5 years spent skateboarding, traveling, working on a BFA, and generally lurking it up. Beneath the surface of normal human interaction lies a more basic sort of reality in which people allow themselves let their guard down and becomes a transparency of their thoughts and feelings. These images explore the relationships between photographer and subject, the nature of celebrity, what is dismissed as ordinary and regarded as surreal."
Hamburger Eyes will set you up with a copy for 5 bucks...
