Spike Jonze for Absolut
FilmIn an effort to solidify their brand as something "pioneering" and "culture-shaping", Absolut Vodka recently gave Spike Jonze a bunch of money and complete creative control so that they would be able to stamp his works with their logo.
"It was a pretty incredible opportunity, they (ABSOLUT) didn't give me any requirements to make a movie that had anything to do with vodka. They just wanted me to make something that was important to me, and let my imagination take me wherever I wanted. And it wasn't like working with some huge corporation where I had to meet with committees of people. It was just a small group, and it seemed like creativity and making something that affected them emotionally was the only thing that really mattered to them. I got to make my first love story. It's about the relationship between two robots living in Los Angeles".
The short film is titled "I'm Here"; a 30-minute love story about the relationship between two robots living in L.A. J. Strickland
Life / Skatei guess this interview is old news, but i had never read it. among other things, strickland provides some interesting insight into the glory days of the piss drunx crew, the start of baker and the subsequent rise and fall of bootleg.
be warned, there's a fair share of shit talking so don't forget that there's two sides to every story...
