Went to a show last night that started with a really great set by The Albertans, a Vancouver based band. It sounded like they've been playing together a lot as everything was nice and crisp with no sloppiness where their wasn't meant to be. I ran into one of them by the bar and found out they just got back from recording an album in NY that will be coming out in the Spring.

Then Whalebones from Seattle went on and did their thing. They were the reason I bought a ticket and went out into the dark because i'd never seen them live before and i'd heard good things. Good things indeed!

And the final act to take the stage was Hard Drugs. Not the best I've seen them, but i still think they're worth checking out if they head your way.
