On July 3rd Underworld, Boulevard, Coastal Riders, and Antisocial skateshops are invited to build an obstacle, and take it to Granville Street, downtown Vancouver for a team best-trick skate contest. Contest starts at 1pm. Music will be provided by DJ Rico Uno. Then in the evening everyone is invited to attend the Road Block afterparty at the Met (320 Abbott St. Vancouver, BC) for some partying and tunes provided by DJ Neoteric. The L.A. Skate Film Festival is an event that showcases and celebrates the best in skateboard films from around the world. The L.A.S.F.F. is calling out all filmmakers to submit their work before June 9, 1010. All entries will be looked over by the members of the ASF (The Academy of Skateboard Filmmakers) who include Stacy Peralta, CR Stecyk III, J. Grant Brittain, Greg Hunt, Ed Templeton, Ricky Bedenbaugh, Bryce Kanights, Jamie Thomas, Mike Manzoori, Fred “French Fred” Mortagne, and Ty Evans. Nominees will have their films screened at the Downtown Independent (Downtown Los Angeles) on August 31st and September 1st, 2010. For more information, please visit the L.A.S.F.F. website.
