In Montreal at South Parc, Jean-Sébastien Lapierre of Notre Dame QC showed the rest how it's done and took the $8000. The largest prize money ever handed out at a Canadian amateur skate contest. To make the finals in Montreal, skaters had to go through a rigorous qualifying process at one of seven Regional Qualifiers across Canada.
“This contest series showed a refreshing look at how diverse Canadian skateboarders really are.” says Trevn Sharp, DC Canada Skate Team Manager.
DC Nationals is Canada’s only nationwide skateboarding contest. It also boasts the largest contest cash purse for Canadian amateur skateboarders at $20,000.Start training for next year!
