Thanks Teach

Skate

Converse revealed a little behind the scenes of a class in session. Kenny starts with "the basics" and attempts to teach    Dr. J the kickflip. I wonder how that turned out?

Back in the Van.

Life / Skate

The last time I was in Vancouver was over four years ago for an art show at Anti-Social. It was a great time and I remember that trip as one fun time. but I never got a real chance to see the city except for one day when Andrew Pommier drove me around so I could shoot photos. The following photos are from that first trip. I'm looking forward to spending a few days in that great city doing nothing but skating and shooting photos. Oh, and doing a slide show presentation on Friday night.

Mr. Pommier

Rick McCrankers at the old Anti-Social space.

A multi-tasking dad at the art show.

Ambleside

Film / Skate

West Vancouver's answer to EMB, Ambleside skate park is a place that for its time, is like no other. Many skaters such as Paul Carter, Machnau, Tony Ferguson, Ted Degros and of coarse Russ Milligan have filmed lines at "AMB" over the past 10 years. Here is a recent session with Russ Milligan and Sascha Daley.

Dylan Gravis contest

Fashion

Just a few days left in the Dylan, Gravis contest. It seems people aren't too eager to talk style though. Check out this entry that came in:

"What was first half joke/half ode to one of the best to ever do it, actually turned into one of my favorite pair of pants to skate in…function meets some sort of fashion. While they may be a bit goofy, they never fail to make the homies smile and isn’t that what skateboarding is all about?"
