CHAD VANGAALEN

Music

We have a lot of love for Chad Vangaalen around here. His new album, Soft Airplane, is awesome and as usual, he animated a video for the first single all by himself. The dude also skates, builds instruments, and recently produced an album by Women, another Calgary band, that is really good. He's on tour right now, too, so check out the dates and catch Calgary's most fertile imagination in the flesh. Dates and video after the jump.

ADIDAS X JEREMY SCOTT

Jeremy Scott is designing for ADIDAS for a scedueled several seasons. The footwear is gonna be amazing. The collection range from about $45 to $450, while footwear ranges from about $120 to $250.

With a release on February 1, 2009.

“I really thought about all the things that my friends would want to wear, and a lot of my friends are pop stars,” says Scott. “So I thought, ‘What would M.I.A. wear; what would the girls wear?’ Giant silver sequined shorts and jacket! It has a very strong look, because it’s like a disco mirror ball.”

DON'T BITCH TO ME

I know our federal election isn't as exciting as the spectacle that goes on down south, but it's still really important that everyone votes. If you don't vote on October 14th then you can't bitch about what the government is doing wrong. And who doesn't like to bitch about the government.
