We're gettting closer and closer to the start of the [o] doubt
The Momentum team got back from Japan a few weeks ago, and probably hit tons of my favourite spots. Jealous! I can't wait to go back. At any rate, check out their tour blog here.
Presented by Empire and Vans, along with a slew of others such as Coors Light, Vans Backyard 08 could quite possibly the mini ramp contest of the year. What's more, this doozy event takes place in my own favourite playground, Montreal, Quebec---no doubt becoming the stuff of legends for years to come. Speaking of legends, this year, John Cardiel is also set to show up and might even throw down some epic Cardiel carves if he ends up feelin' it. In any event, THIS event is not to be missed. There's even free food! Hit up all the info right
Only 1 week to go until the contest starts! Representing the east-est of the teams are the guys from Halifax. Filmer Still waiting for the first team from Alberta to sign up in the Digi category. Even though Dave Ko tells me otherwise, i'm beginning to doubt anyone there skates anymore. Sign up at

Also, don't mind the non-skating layabouts. I think they will begin to fade away as the park gets older. Rob Piontek RIP. Here's a rad video of the opening day:
