How sick is it that Thomas Haney Secondary School has its own plaza skatepark? The first of its kind in Canada to be exact and according to New Line (the fine folks who built it), it is an attempt to "incorporate progressive public space for youth in non-traditional settings." Sounds like the makings of a new young adult tv show—Transition High—or something like that. This leg of the journey was like a shit sandwich: great park, shitty park, great park. At RailSide, the sun was shining and the chill factor was at an all time high. Port Moody and Coquitlam Town Center were two great stops. Appleyard was in the zone, getting in on some of the high-flying shenanigans and boosting huge ollies alongside DeCenzo. The most iconic spot on the trip for sure, was Seylynn. This snake run is thought to be Canada's oldest surviving skatepark, but there are a few points of contention. One: there is HappyLand in Winnipeg.
